Neal began his career illustrating pub signs and occasional portraiture.
Since then, he has contributed illustrations and stories to various publications. His comic strip RamRod regularly appeared in the pages of Back Street Heroes magazine.
He is the writer and published author of several adventure novels. His short story The Chronos Engine was printed in Caterpillar Magazine during lockdown. He recently won the 2023 LitFest-Ourtown Short Story Contest with his submission The One Eyed Yellow Idol.
Neal currently resides in Warwickshire with the feline scallywags, Boo & Maximilian who supply much welcomed distraction and the occasional inspiration.
